About us

The association was first entered into the register of associations at the Dortmund district court (Amtsgericht Dortmund, VR 7153) on 25 July 2016 under the name ILMUN e. V. On 30 March 2020 it was renamed AL HUDA Institution e. V., and on 29 December 2020 the current register spelling ALHUDA Institution e. V. was recorded.

From its premises at Eisenstraße 51 in Dortmund Innenstadt-Nord, the association maintains a neighbourhood mosque and publishes its own full-year Adhan and Iqama timetable via Mawaqit. Day by day, the community gathers here for the five daily prayers, the weekly Jumuʿa and the Eid prayers, with announcements published in German and Arabic.

Alongside daily worship, the association runs regular classes for children and adults and organises its work across school, educational and social initiatives. The building at Eisenstraße 51 provides a dedicated women's prayer room, ablution facilities, a wheelchair-accessible entrance and on-site parking.
