Getting here and parking

By tram and bus

Take DSW21 Stadtbahn line U42 (running between Grevel and Hombruch via city-centre stops Reinoldikirche and Stadtgarten) to the stop Eisenstraße on Bornstraße. From there it is about 220 metres, or a three-minute walk, to the mosque; line U46 also terminates two stops south at Brunnenstraße. By bus, line 412 runs directly from Dortmund Hauptbahnhof to the stop DO-Anne-Frank-Gesamtschule on Burgholzstraße, around 360 metres west of the building.

By car

By car, Eisenstraße is reached directly via Bornstraße or Burgholzstraße. Enter Eisenstraße 51, 44145 Dortmund into your navigation system. Whenever possible, the association encourages forming carpools, using public transport, or travelling by bicycle or scooter in fair weather.

Parking

On-site parking is available, though during Friday prayer it is reserved strictly for women, people with disabilities and the imam. Parking directly in front of or opposite the institution on Eisenstraße, as well as in neighbouring company driveways, is prohibited; public parking is permitted along Bornstraße, on Eisenhüttenweg, and on the easternmost stretch of Eisenstraße near Bornstraße.

In Dortmund's Nordstadt

The district of Innenstadt-Nord, known across Dortmund simply as the Nordstadt, grew from the mid-19th century north of the railway lines as a residential quarter for workers in the coal and steel industries around the Westfalenhütte. Today it forms the largest contiguous Gründerzeit neighbourhood in North Rhine-Westphalia and comprises the three quarters of Hafen, Nordmarkt and Borsigplatz.

More than 60,000 people now live in the Nordstadt, making it one of the youngest and most international neighbourhoods in the Ruhr region. Eisenstraße lies in the northeastern part of the district between Bornstraße and Burgholzstraße, close to green spaces such as the Fredenbaumpark and Hoeschpark.
